Brake Hose
Brake hoses create a flexible connection between brake pipes and wheel brakes. They transmit the hydraulic pressure to the wheel cylinders and brake calipers. Brake hoses are usually made of a special inner and outer rubber with a multi-layer fabric insert in between.
Old brake hoses are prone to collapse. Rubber debris acts like a valve, trapping brake fluid inside the cylinder, in turn causing the caliper to stick.
Brake hoses are intended to last for years and tens of thousands of kilometers, but they should be inspected regularly for damage, cracks, or other signs of degradation, and replaced if needed.
When you visit AutoFast for your regular maintenance, kindly request that your brake hose are examined.
